MGs IN STOCK 1959 Austin Healey Sprite MkI Frogeye in Old English White Advertised on behalf of the current owner who states: 'Car has had four previous owners. The total mileage is 22,100. from new. The car is completely unrestored and has never had any welding or body work done, nor does it need any. The Austin Diary and Log Book is really quite charming, describing when it was bought, and where from (Skinners of Hastings), it also describes various journeys and the amount of fuel used. It still has the dealers supplying sticker on inside of doors. It comes complete with original hard top, soft top, tonneau cover with side screens. My sister has owned it since 1999, during which time it has covered approximately 600 miles, and during this period has been kept in an air flow chamber. I have just remembered that the diary also describes when the car went for a photograpy session for the book "Original Sprite and Midget" by Terry Horton. All is as original inside - including the rubber mats which are in very good condition. Obviously, the engine is the original. This car is exactly as it came off the production line in 1959, in supurlative order. Could be a show car with a little detailing under the bonnet.' Extemely rare to find in this condition! Of the 50 SuperSprites build for the Japanese market two were kept back, one LHD and This RHD car. Used by the factory as a development car. I am advertising this very unusual and rare car on behalf of the current owner. It has a 1275cc A series engine and Ford 5 speed gearbox. Galvanised Chassis and all GRP body so no rust worries. DEPOSIT NOW TAKEN 1960 Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 ( frogeye) in Cherry Red 1275cc Originally built as LHD and sent to the USA this Sprite returned from the warm climate of California in 1998, 99% rust free, all steel and all original panels in remarkable condition. Restored and converted to RHD. Fitted with later 1275cc Midget engine and stronger Midget gearbox. Original 948cc engine and gearbox come with the car. Dynamo upgraded to an alternator. K and N air filters. We have just carried out a full service and brake overhaul plus fitted a new Stainless Steel exhaust. Nearly new tyres and good hood and sidescreens. Drives very well.

Seven year restoration to near concours condition just finished. 20 test miles only. BMIHT Production Certificate available. Nearly all period factory accessories are installed: heater, tonneau cover, laminated windscreen, Willmot-Breeden lockable fuel cap, cigar lighter + ashtray, Smiths clock, Desmo “Boomerang” wing mirrors, factory hardtop, whitewall crossply tyres, twin horns, luggage carrier, seatbelts, rear cushion, Lucas foglights, badgebar and Aerite footpump. It even has a genuine “McCleod” tartan picnic hamper to go with it !!! Correct 10CG-DaH engine fitted with ported and polished lead-free head and Cooper S forged rockers. All mechanicals rebuilt to new condition. Correct seats and trim in black with white piping. Tools and jack are complete and in the right bag as are the softtop, pack-away frame, tonneau and sidescreens. All new chrome. Side and taillights brought to “Home-market” spec. Road Tax Exempt. 1965/C MG Midget MkII in Riviera Blue For sale on behalf of current owner who states that this Midget has covered a genuine 33,000 miles from new! The first Lady owner for 30 years used it sparingly covering only 6,000 miles in this time. A full bare shell restoration was carried out in year 2000 by Bromsgrove MG Centre costing £6500. No welding was needed! New wire wheels were fitted at this time and all the chrome replated. Engine has recently been rebuilt with an unleaded cylinder head. Original seats and cream hood and Tonneau. Massive history file with all MOT's and invoices and photos of rebuild. Rare to find like this and in very good condition. Road tax exempt. 1972/K MG Midget MkIII 1275cc in Glacier White Round wheel arch model. Major restoration in the late 1990's and still in excellent condition throughout as mimimal summer mileage. Black interior with original steering wheel. Roll bar fitted but can be removed if required. Just had a full service by us. Extremely nice car to drive.
NOW SOLD 1973/L MG Midget MkIII 1275cc in Blaze Major restoration in the late 1990's. Only 60 miles in the last ten years! Dark Blue seats with light Blue carpets. Five brand new wire wheels just fitted. Just fully re-commisioned and serviced by us. Very good condition throughout.
DEPOSIT NOW TAKEN 1972/L MG Midget MkIII in Bright Yellow Restored back to bare shell in 1999. 1275cc engine which is Superb. Retrimmed Interior in Dark Navy with walnut dashboard and wood rimmed steering wheel. Drives superb but has the odd imperfection in the paint (not rust!). All chrome is excellent,along with the hood.

Very good body and paintwork but interior showing it's age, (splits in seats). Has still got it's original rubber matting to floors and sills. Been dry stored for last 15 years but just re-commissioned for the road again by us. Full brake overhaul. Very good Hood, but budget on an interior retrim. Brake servo and oil cooler. Rear Spax adjustable shockers fitted.

MODERN CARS CONSIDERED IN PART EXCHANGE Mechanical insurance based warranties offered by many garages offer a very limited cover on MG's of this age. They also only cover mechanical breakdown ie: the part must break rather than fail through wear and tear, which is usually the case on cars of this age. They have so many exclusions and clauses in the small print that making a successful claim is very rare, therefore I do not use them. Please be aware that they are old cars and as such can and will go wrong, it is very difficult to predict the where and when. On Midgets costing over £4000 I do offer 3 months/3,000 mile (which ever is sooner) warranty on mechanical and electrical parts that might go wrong (cars in the UK only), I will also give a significant discount on labour during this period. Car Insurance All cars are checked with HPI Equifax, this is to confirm the following:- Stolen Vehicles: a check is made with any vehicles reported to the Police as stolen or missing. Condition alert: Warns if the vehicle has been subject to a total loss claim i.e. written off because of damage, or because it has been stolen and not recovered. Outstanding finance: checks with finance houses to see if vehicle is on finance. Some 5 million vehicles are on this register. Security watch: Certain vehicles that are at risk from theft or fraud are registered with HPI. VIN match: a cross reference between the chassis number and the registration number to ensure they match. Vehicle identity: to confirm make, model, colour, engine-size and number, door-plan, fuel-type and transmission for all vehicles registered at the DVLA. Plate Transfer: tells if the vehicle has had a number plate change registered at the DVLA since April 1990, if it has a check is made on all associated registration numbers to ensure there is no hidden history. A copy of these checks will be shown to you and then given to you on purchase of the car. I welcome any inspection on my Midgets before you buy and if you are unhappy with the car for any reason after purchase I do offer a 14 day refund policy. Some people ask why my cars are so expensive, well go and look at
the other 'cheaper' cars and you will see why. My prices aren't
over the top when you consider their condition, and that most have
had more than the asking price spent on them. They are good
value at around a third cheaper than MGB Roadsters. The cost of
restoring a car is more than its market value. My prices are
determined by the law of supply and demand, as I have no problem
selling them then I know and so do my customers that the price is
right. If I had lots of cars in stock then I would know my
prices were higher than the market price. I have sold
many Spridgets for less than private sellers ask. Most
private sellers give an exaggerated description of their own cars
either deliberately or because they remember their own car in better
times and have not thoroughly examined their car for some time.
For every ten cars I see I only actually buy one of them.
It can be so annoying traveling a long distance to view miss-described
cars, you try it and add up the time, petrol etc involved. YOU REALLY
