1967/E Austin Healey Sprite MkIV 1275cc in Old English White

Nearing completion of complete restoration using a Heritage Body-shell. New wire wheels. Engine fully rebuilt by us, unleaded head. New Black leather seats with correct white piping. All new Chrome. 1973 MG Midget MkIII 1275cc in Damask Red IMMACULATE!

One owner from new until 5 years ago. All history from day one including original bill of sale, fully stamped service book, brochures and Heritage certificate. Every MOT certificate from new and all invoices for work done. This owner had the car fully restored by the MGOC workshops using new Heritage bodyshell, so no rust. Every part was rebuilt or new. This cost £17,000 back in 1998! Engine is stage two tuned, lightened and balanced. New wire wheels were fitted also. Mohair Hood. Stereo. Battery cut off. Has been maintained by us. The whole car is immaculate and to a very high standard plus is fantastic to drive! I supplied it to the last three owners. Rolling road tuned and producing 80+ BHP (standard 65) Timed around Millbrook at 99MPH but not been thrashed! Not cheap at £10,750 but one of the top ten Midgets in the country.

1959 Austin Healey Sprite MkI Frogeye in Old English White

Advertised on behalf of the current owner who states: 'Car has had four previous owners. The total mileage is 22,100. from new. The car is completely unrestored and has never had any welding or body work done, nor does it need any. The Austin Diary and Log Book is really quite charming, describing when it was bought, and where from (Skinners of Hastings), it also describes various journeys and the amount of fuel used. It still has the dealers supplying sticker on inside of doors. It comes complete with original hard top, soft top, tonneau cover with side screens. My sister has owned it since 1999, during which time it has covered approximately 600 miles, and during this period has been kept in an air flow chamber. I have just remembered that the diary also describes when the car went for a photograpy session for the book "Original Sprite and Midget" by Terry Horler. All is as original inside - including the rubber mats which are in very good condition. Obviously, the engine is the original. This car is exactly as it came off the production line in 1959, in supurlative order. Could be a show car with a little detailing under the bonnet.' Extemely rare to find in this condition! 1970/J MG Midget 1275cc MKIII in Flame Red

£16,000 restoration on a new Heritage Body-shell. Black Leather seats. Unleaded reconditioned engine. Original MkI Rostyle wheels which are correct for this year. I have supplied this car to the last two owners and originally bought it from the Father and Son who had owned this car from new in 1970 and lovingly restored it to a very high standard with the majority of work professionally done. The new shell was seam sealed and waxoiled throughout. Since being completed in year 2000 it has been driven around 10,000 miles generally on dry summer days. Two large box files of history, invoices for all work done and MOTs dating back 30+ years. We have recently carried out an Alternator conversion and fitted a new Hood.

1960 Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 ( frogeye) in BRG

1960 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite in Mint Condition This is a truly amazing Frogeye that has just been restored to the highest of standards by a professional restorer. This car has only done some 100 dry miles since completion last year and is all steel. Built to a ‘fast road’ spec with many modifications to improve handling and brakes while retaining an almost standard appearance. This car is fully detailed in every respect and the underneath and engine bay are as highly polished as the exterior. If you inspect the photos closely you will see that this is no ordinary restoration. A lot of time and attention has been taken to get all panel gaps to be perfect (in fact better then they left the factory) and doors close nicely as they should. These photos were either taken a few days ago here at my premises or were taken during restoration last year. If you require photos taken of a certain area I will gladly take some and e-mail direct to you. I can e-mail you a full spec sheet of work done and modifications. I have been asked by the current owner who restored this car to offer it for sale and get the maximum possible return for him. Comes with V5 document, MOT, Invoices,photos and original number plate. There are numerous photos and invoices of all work done. This car is here at my premises and available for inspection/test drive 7 days a week 9am to 9pm. Warranties

Mechanical insurance based warranties offered by many garages offer a very limited cover on MG's of this age. They also only cover mechanical breakdown ie: the part must break rather than fail through wear and tear, which is usually the case on cars of this age. They have so many exclusions and clauses in the small print that making a successful claim is very rare, therefore I do not use them. Please be aware that they are old cars and as such can and will go wrong, it is very difficult to predict the where and when.

On Midgets costing over £4000 I do offer 3 months/3,000 mile (which ever is sooner) warranty on mechanical and electrical parts that might go wrong (cars in the UK only), I will also give a significant discount on labour during this period.

All Midgets costing over £4000 will have a full service and a new MOT (unless at least 8 months remaining).

This is a very reputable specialist insurance company owned by the MG Owners Club and have 'agreed valuations' so well worth a try.

All cars are checked with HPI Equifax, this is to confirm the following:-

Stolen Vehicles: a check is made with any vehicles reported to the Police as stolen or missing.

Condition alert: Warns if the vehicle has been subject to a total loss claim i.e. written off because of damage, or because it has been stolen and not recovered.

Outstanding finance: checks with finance houses to see if vehicle is on finance. Some 5 million vehicles are on this register.

Security watch: Certain vehicles that are at risk from theft or fraud are registered with HPI.

VIN match: a cross reference between the chassis number and the registration number to ensure they match.

Vehicle identity: to confirm make, model, colour, engine-size and number, door-plan, fuel-type and transmission for all vehicles registered at the DVLA.

Plate Transfer: tells if the vehicle has had a number plate change registered at the DVLA since April 1990, if it has a check is made on all associated registration numbers to ensure there is no hidden history.

A copy of these checks will be shown to you and then given to you on purchase of the car.

I welcome any inspection on my Midgets before you buy and if you are unhappy with the car for any reason after purchase I do offer a 14 day refund policy. Return the car to me in the same condition and I will give you a full refund. (see note below)

HOW MUCH!     Some people ask why my cars are so expensive, well go and look at the other 'cheaper' cars and you will see why.  My prices aren't over the top when you consider their condition, and that most have had more than the asking price spent on them. They are good value at around a third cheaper than MGB Roadsters. The cost of restoring a car is more than its market value.  My prices are determined by the law of supply and demand, as I have no problem selling them then I know and so do my customers that the price is right.  If I had lots of cars in stock then I would know my prices were higher than the market price.   I have sold many Spridgets for less than private sellers ask.   Most private sellers give an exaggerated description of their own cars either deliberately or because they remember their own car in better times and have not thoroughly examined their car for some time.  For every ten cars I see I only actually buy one of them.  It can be so annoying traveling a long distance to view miss-described cars, you try it and add up the time, petrol etc involved. YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
