The car was prepared for competition use from a restored standard car but has never been entered in competition. A great deal of time and money has been spent getting the car to its present condition, and there is a substantial file of receipts and build data etc.
The 1293cc engine was built by MED in 2014 and the car assembled by Qprep Engineering.
The engine was lightened and balanced with a billet crank; forged pistons; duplex timing; orange clutch; Quaife ATB. The gearbox has been rebuilt and is S/C C/R. A competition cylinder head has been fitted; oil cooler; alloy radiator; twin 1 1/2″ SU’s; LCB. Engine bills came to around £10,000.
The full Roll Centre cage has detachable side bars. It has 5 Minilite style wheels all with Avon CR6 ZZ tyres; fire extinguisher; full harness seat belts and Contour reclining seats. A Heritage Certificate is present.
Limited slip diff and long range twin fuel tanks.
The car would be suited to either the longer European style events, or would be a very quick car for use on the HRCR UK Clubmans single day events with tests.
