Description
Major bare shell restoration completed 2019 and only 1500 dry miles since.
This Midget had previously been dry stored for over 30 years until the restorer bought the car and stripped it to the bare shell and made up a rotisserie so he had good access to replace the floors, sills etc. This is all recorded in a photo album.
Once the body was restored he rebuilt the engine and gearbox.
The car was then built back up with new suspension and all new brakes including copper brake pipes new calipers, discs and pads. New rear wheel cylinders and shoes, new brake and clutch master cylinders.
New fuel lines, new fuel pump. Carburettors rebuild with new parts.
The interior was fitted with new carpets, a new trim set and the seats recovered. The dashboard was repainted and a new hood was fitted.
This Midget is an original wire wheel car rather than the modern bolt on hubs, the wheels were shot blasted and powder coated and had five new tyres fitted.
The Chrome bumpers front and rear were replaced with new.
Finally some period Black and White number plates fitted along with a new Wood rimmed steering wheel.
Recently completed an 830 mile trouble free trip to Cornwall and back.
Now ready for a new owner to show and enjoy driving this Midget at a fraction of the restoration costs.
