Rare opportunity to buy an unmolested V8 In original and unrestored condition.Very unusual history.One of 9 pre production US spec cars. Build and owned by Cliff Humphries for 45 years. (Competitions department senior engineer) before I purchased from Cliff. Original receipt from the Abingdon factory signed off by Don Hayter.
Cliff went on to Austin Rover motorsport to develop and build 6R4 engines!In really nice original condition. Damask Red with Dark Navy interior.
You may be aware that there we’re only 2591 factory V8 produced of which 1839 where chrome bumpered models.Cliff knew he was going to keep this car for himself so he waxoiled it throughout and maintained it himself to a very high standard. Ken Costello was a friend who gave Cliff the grille.
Although the car is basically standard the engine is a Buick supplied unit only tested on the Dyno in Development department at Abingdon where it produced 148HP an improvement over standard production V8’s.A rare opportunity to buy probably the lowest mileage MGB GTV8 there is.

Although MOT and Tax exempt it does have a current MOT until 17th October 2023.
